Conducting On Floor Peer Reviews

One of the tasks that is included in our yearly marketing plan is on floor peer reviews for our personal trainers. If you haven’t included this in your yearly marketing plan it isn’t too late! Remember, your clients expect the very best from you and your team. Spending time reviewing each of your personal trainers (rookies and experienced trainers) helps the them hone in on what is expected of them and allows their peers to give constructive feedback.

Fitness Businesses NEED to be Heard!

IHRSA has created a very simple one-click campaign for fitness professionals that allows us to easily communicate with our legislatures to ask for support for the fitness industry. As I am sure you are well aware….our industry has endured the longest closures and greatest restrictions.

Medical Advisory Board?

Our core values and systems have worked for years and they will not change. However, we cannot afford to become complacent when it comes to continually evolving and improving our business. This fact has never been more clear than in the last year. We have been innovative and willing to adjust to life and business during a pandemic. Recently, we decided to take another step toward growing our business and our brand.

We have decided to create a Medical Advisory Board. Why? Because we would like to increase our brand awareness to include not only being a “gym,” but also an essential “wellness” resource. We started by becoming members of the Medical Fitness Association. It was at their suggestion that we started the process of creating a Medical Advisory Board.

We are in the beginning stages of creating this board. The first step is to find members! We have asked our staff to suggest medical professionals that they know and trust to be part of our board. We will review the suggestions from our staff and begin recruiting soon.

We Are Going to Celebrate – Are You?

Northwest Personal Training is 21 years old and we are going to celebrate! Our celebration won’t look the same as our past anniversaries, but we have some safe and fun activities planned for our staff and clients. Do you have something to celebrate with your fitness community? Now, more than ever, we could all use a little celebration. Try bringing your staff and clients together virtually/outdoors etc. to celebrate their accomplishments, anniversaries, the start of spring….anything you feel like celebrating. It will give everyone something positive to look forward to and bring your fitness community together.

Fitness Facilities: Fight AND Stay ‘Open’

My announcement to the Northwest Personal Training family about the mandated extended closure.

 

Here in Washington state….health and fitness facilities have been forced to close for the last month or so. I believe that we must take COVID-19 seriously and wish we could stay open. We are part of the solution and not the problem. We know know that at Northwest Personal Training we can provide a safe environment for our clients to work on their fitness, boost their immune systems and relieve stress. All of these things help fight infection and disease.

What is Your Differentiator?

Covid 19 has forced us, here at Northwest Personal Training, to rethink and revamp the way we do things. However, even before the pandemic hit, we recognized that our Group Training program shouldn’t be our main focus. Our differentiator is Private Training. There are many business in the fitness industry who do a great job with group training. Businesses such as Orange Theory, Barre, Soul Cycle/Star Cycle and CrossFit are becoming more and more popular.

We know that we shouldn’t be trying to compete with these types of group training options, so we doubled down on marketing our bread and butter….Private Training.

We are known, in our community, as the experts when it comes to Private, Personalized, By Appointment, One-on-one Fitness & Strength Training with World-Class Trainers. Prior to March, we started focusing all of our marketing efforts on Private Training, and now (7 months into the pandemic) we have found that people feel safer in a one-on-one setting where we can more easily control access, flow, disinfecting, distancing etc.

Highlight Current Clients – Inspire New Clients
