Accountability – It Is Your Job!

Posted by on July 29, 2015 at 8:19 pm

download (10)It is common for group exercise numbers to be low during the summer months.  This leaves more weight on the shoulders of group exercise instructors/personal trainers to hold our clients accountable to their fitness regimen. Remember….keeping your clients accountable for their exercise is YOUR JOB! Make sure you nudge clients if they are missing their workouts this summer!

One of our personal trainers (Trevor Thomas) sent out the following email to his clients that didn’t show up for his early morning group exercise class this week!  Feel free to take ideas from this email and remind your “missing” group clients that you are watching out for them!

Hiking Dog Mountain with clients

Hiking Dog Mountain with clients

We always have lots of fun events and adventures for our clients to sign up for. Some of them are free seminars and some are events and adventures that our clients pay for. All of these events keep our clients active, happy and engaged in our business. They also bring in new clients and potential new clients and extra revenue! Hosting fun events and adventures really is a win/win for everyone!

We encourage and remind our trainers to share these events and adventures with their clients and we want to make it easy for them to do that so all of our events are listed both on our website and on our facebook page. Having the events listed on our facebook page makes it easy for the our trainers to share the events with friends and share in their status updates.  Read more on Marketing Your Events!…

Spring Makeover Challenge – Week 2

Posted by on June 4, 2014 at 1:00 pm

Last week, I shared our trainer Derrick DeLay’s “Interval Diet” approach to maximizing fat loss during our Spring Makeover challenge.  Derrick basically asks his weight loss challenge team members to consume a super healthy, low calorie diet JillSMonday through Friday and then eat whatever they want on the weekends in combination with some cardio and weight training. That approach won’t work for for all of your clients so I am also going to share Jill Schiller’s approach, “Body Overhaul” to shedding that winter fat layer quickly.  Jill is a mother of two, our NWPT running clinic leader, certified VIPR and Schwinn cycling instructor and American Council of Exercise Nationally Certified Personal Trainer.

Spring Makeover Challenge – Week 1

Posted by on May 29, 2014 at 1:00 pm

In the colder climates, it is common over the winter months to gain a little weight. The days are shorter, it’s cold outside and we just don’t get as much activity and access to local healthy fruits and vegetables.  It’s one of the reasons that every spring we launch our annual Spring Makeover Challenge to help our clients shed that extra winter layer. Each of our trainers have teams and we all compete against each other to see who can ramp it up the most and achieve the best results.  There’s nothing like a friendly competition and peer pressure to get your trainers motivated and help your clients reach their goals!

Over the next few weeks I am going to share our trainers’ team “rules” with all of you and maybe you can start up your own weight loss challenge. Our annual Spring Makeover Challenge brings in about $20k in extra revenue for us each year and our clients see amazing results! Want to use the same resource tool we use to help clients see results during this challenge? You can change our name to your name and run with it! Check out the details HERE.
