Flash Sale Success

Hey Fit Pros! We just ran a 1 day “Spring Break” flash sale for our 10 class punch cards for our group training classes.

We were looking for a way to boost sales and increase interest in our group training classes.

So here is what I did:

  • Created the flier below
  • Scheduled a couple social media posts
  • Scheduled a couple eNewsletters to promote the flash sale
  • Emailed our team announcing the flash sale, gave them the flier, asked them to promote to their clients and to share our social media posts
  • Posted the flier around our studio

Press Releases Work!

This year was the 18th anniversary of Northwest Personal Training (our studio in Vancouver, WA) and I wanted everyone in our community to know about it! We did lots of social media posts, mass emails, out reach to our community partners and posted fliers around the studio. However, the most successful action I took was sending out a press release to all of the local news stations, radio stations and newspapers (learn my secrets to sending press releases that get picked up!).

This is the time of year your clients start thinking about getting in shape for summer and often get a boost of energy with the longer days so…that means NOW is an amazing time to reach out to your clients who haven’t been in for a while and to all of your other potential leads and comp clients who never took action etc…

Help them get started on this journey. Help them take action today! It’s a perfect opportunity to inspire so get on the phone and/or email and reach out. Show them you care and want to help them!

Host Events: Get & Keep More Clients

We always have lots of fun events, adventures and clinics for our clients to sign up for. Some of them are free clinics and some are events and adventures that our clients pay for. All of these events keep our clients active, happy and engaged in our business. They also bring in new clients and potential new clients and extra revenue! Hosting fun events and adventures is a win/win for everyone!

We encourage and remind our trainers to share these events and adventures with their clients and we want to make it easy for them to do so. All of our events are listed both on our website and on our Facebook page. Having the events listed on our Facebook page makes it easy for our trainers to share the events with friends and share in their status updates.

Bathroom Ads? Why Not?

It is getting progressively more difficult to capture the attention of our clients and potential new clients when trying to advertise our services. The amount of social media and email notices we each get in a day can be overwhelming and that often means we miss things or don’t have the time to read each message carefully. Good news? You have a captive audience right there in your studio and at other local businesses. Yep, in the bathrooms.

Do you place ads on the doors of your bathrooms or on the wall behind the urinals at your studio or fitness facility? If you don’t, you should! Talk about a captive audience.

We create fliers for all of our current events, seminars, specials, holiday closures etc. and place them around the studio, and that includes the doors of the bathrooms. Convert Group Clients to Personal Training Clients

At Northwest Personal Training all of our group fitness instructors are also personal trainers at our studio and this set up is a win/win for everyone. Our group fitness clients get high quality instructors who are also personal trainers and can bring their extra expertise to the group setting. Having our personal trainers teach our group fitness classes is a win for our business and here is why….

Personal trainers who are also skilled group fitness instructors have a very easy time of growing their personal training business. It makes sense. If you’re teaching a class to 20, 30, 50 or more participants…..you are in the spotlight. If group fitness clients regularly attend your classes, and they’re thinking about consulting with a trainer, they will most likely come to you because they already know and trust you.
