Weight Loss Challenge – Week 5

When it comes to your clients’ health and fitness goals, there are a lot of different ways for them to achieve the same results.  At Northwest Personal Training, we host an annual Spring Makeover Challenge when our clients and trainers compete against each other using different approaches to maximize fat loss in a 6 week period.

So far in this series, I’ve shared with you 4 different approaches to maximizing weight loss. You can review past articles HERE and share the different plans with your clients to see which work best for each of them.

We conduct our weight loss challenge in the Spring, but you can run a weight loss challenge anytime. Today, I am sharing with you Cindy Shrum’s approach to fat loss.  Cindy is a NCSF Nationally Certified Personal Trainer and a USAT Level 1 Triathlon Coach. Fill Your Schedule – Encourage Monthly Clients

Clients that come see you for 1 on 1 personal training a couple times a week are the best kinds to get, but not all clients (or potential clients) can, want or need to see you that often. It is a good idea to try to fill the open time slots in your/your staff’s schedule by encouraging clients to see a personal trainer once a month for program updates. How do you encourage that type of client to sign up with you? Send them some of the information below. When Clients See Results So Does Your Bottom Line!

I recently sent out an email to our staff reminding them of the importance of making sure clients see and feel the results of all their hard work.

Here is the email:

“We have a business goal of 80% full schedule (read this past blog post to learn more about this Get Trainers To Help With Marketing)

Q: How do you achieve that?

A: You keep the clients you get and you get referrals from those clients who are happy with your services!

Q: So how do you keep clients and get referrals?

A: You’ve got to earn it!
