Stan_CodyWe all know that positive testimonials from our clients are extremely useful when marketing our fitness businesses. But, how do you get clients to tell the world about their successes? Try running this super easy and fun contest to get clients to tell you all about their inspiring stories! This contest also works to get NEW clients. They can tell their inspiring story to win 1 year of group training.

How It Works:

Northwest Personal Training will choose the most inspirational story (at the beginning of Nov) and that individual will be awarded complimentary Group Training classes for themselves for one year (Group Training membership is not transferable). Everyone who completes this process is a WINNER and will be provided a FREE Trial Pass for 1 Initial PT session & 2 weeks of Group classes for submitting their story that they can use if they are not currently a client or gift to someone else!

Be at Your Best:

Well, as a fitness professional, we expect that year-round, right?! But it’s even more important in the beginning of the year. You can’t afford to be away or sick – your clients and classes need you! So get lots of good sleep, eat well (lots of fruits and veggies) drink lots of water and take your Vit C or Echinacea if you’re feeling run-down. Client Fitness Assessment Month

DSC02801Can you believe 2016 is here!  As you know, January is a great time of year to recharge your clients programs to set a game plan for the new year.  No matter what our client’s goals may be, it is necessary to have a solid way of how to best track their progress.  January at Northwest Personal Training is our client fitness assessment month. We will be conducting these fitness assessments in both group training classes and personal training sessions. We have specific assessment forms for both group training clients and personal training clients. (Want more forms? Want to get your business organized? Bad Weather Protocol

snow_cars_detail_parking_01The best way to deal with bad weather is to take a proactive approach.  So, we recently touched base with our staff members to make sure that IF something were to happen we would have the information we need:

Do you have this information from your team?

  • Who could actually get to work?
  • Whose vehicle is capable of driving in the snow and whose is not? Who feels comfortable driving in the snow and who does not?
  • Who has chains – and knows how to use them?
  • Who lives close to the studio with no major hills or obstacles en route?  Who lives close to a bus route and could easily take a bus into work?

Holiday Hours That Work for Clients & Trainers

The holidays also mean that personal trainers will be requesting vacation time. Do you have policies that will keep both your clients and your personal trainers happy during the holidays? Over the next few weeks I will be giving you some of my favorite tips and tricks to make holiday schedules a win/win for everyone!

First things first….it is imperative that you notify your clients if your regular business hours will be changing during the holidays. We ask our trainers to send out a personal email to their clients reminding them of our special hours and our special classes during the holidays.  That’s right! We offer super fun specialty group training classes in the morning on some holidays so that folks still get a workout in, but don’t need to be open the entire day. Weight Loss Challenge – Week 5

When it comes to your clients’ health and fitness goals, there are a lot of different ways for them to achieve the same results.  At Northwest Personal Training, we host an annual Spring Makeover Challenge when our clients and trainers compete against each other using different approaches to maximize fat loss in a 6 week period.
